Chris Murphy Rips Trump's Defense Chief Pete Hegseth Over 'Billion-Dollar Jet' Scheme - Liberal Lens

Senator Chris Murphy confronts Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over a shady billion-dollar jet deal allegedly designed to benefit Donald Trump—and challenges Hegseth’s refusal to support the National Guard deployment to defend the Capitol on January 6th. Murphy calls out the double standard: protecting Trump’s interests while ignoring the threat to American democracy. - 07/12/2025.

If you listen to pete he blames Boein, around the 3:00 mark, for delays which means there might not be a six month usage of the plane before it is transfered to trump. Also as an ex-Navy member with a Top Secret Clearance what pete is doing is pushing the blame so as not to have to answer the question. As (unqualified) Sec of Def he is supposed to be "in charge" there fore he should know what the approximate time line is for the Air Force compleation. And he keeps saying that he can't answer questions due to classified reasons *BS*. He can't claim classifed reasons for not answering questions because we all know that we are not the only ones who fix the leaders planes to the hightest security as possible. As far as the protest answers did you notice how he blames President Biden (6:12) for not wanting the National Guard to protect him. There were no reasons for the National Guard to be deployed during the President Biden inauguration. He used that to try to shift from answering the question so thank you Senator Murphy for answering the question for little pete.

It would be fitting for Trump's "gift" to also be a static display at his "library". Fly it to its final resting place, remove the engines and security equipment and sign it over. I hope the next administration, which should be Democratic, will do this.
