First, Trump and Hegseth, what a pair of pitiful drama queens. Hegseth's histrionics made it look like he was on a SNL cold open. The only thing he was missing was saying that "certain media outlets" hated apple pies and puppies.
And Trump? Where to start. Well how about this? Making up stupid conversations that never happened, where all the characters sound like whinier versions of little diaper Donnie is such a pre-K moment that it would be sad on an adult in a memory care unit, but appalling as a public figure with power and sychophants willing to act on his every whim.
Sorry, but I don't believe that their feelings were hurt. Assessing the status of the objective after a strike would be normal. Current intelligence assessments that key equipment was moved before the strike would simply be part of that process. Back to Hegseth, if he is so ill informed that he thinks one pilot/co-pilot stayed awake for 36 hours to complete the mission, he is simply demonstrating how over his head he is in this position. He looks and acts more like a pushy used car salesman who doesn't quite know when to back off.
Finally, I find the affection that the republicans have for the military to be rather perverse in a way that is rarely discussed: if there is one segment of society in the US that is socialist, it is the MILITARY! You have guaranteed housing, guaranteed medical care, guaranteed job (for a specific time period), you have access to support for families, discounted or free entertainment, reduce cost meals, allowance for food, allowance for uniforms, extra pay if you travel, extra pay for hazardous duty, subsidized education, retirement pay. Funny thing is that there are members of the military who don't get it either and will SCREAM of the EVILS of SOCIALISM, while getting fat on the whole deal.
OK since in finished there, I have a message for active, reserve or retired military, if you hate socialism so much, go serve in the military in Somalia and leave the socialism to someone else.
