. . . in the same video where she is essentially shrugging her shoulders at any Biblical adjurations to care for the poor and vulnerable makes me feel sorry for any sincere (and good-hearted) believers in Christianity.

That woman has done more to turn people from Christianity than any "evil" atheist. Senator Ernst is a "person of faith" in the model of the Pharisees that Jesus mentioned in Matthew 23:27.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
