Trump's "Remigration" Policy In Action - with @RGoodLaw - Andrew Weissmann
This week, @RGoodLaw I sat down to walk through a string of major legal developments—nearly all of them losses for the Trump administration.
– Two courts struck down the administration’s tariff policy as unconstitutional.
– A critical ruling involving Elon Musk and the constitutionality of DOGE, as well as the broader implications for data privacy and government power.
– We also turn to several First Amendment cases, including the escalating legal battles involving Harvard and prominent law firms, where the administration’s targeting efforts are hitting constitutional walls.
– And while much of the episode covers losses for the administration, we also cover a big win: the Supreme Court’s decision that paves the way for the government to revoke legal status for hundreds of thousands of people with temporary protected status.
Finally, we turn to the Trump administration’s newly minted “remigration” policy and its white nationalist origins that is something that has received scant attention but deserves to be front of mind
