The Actual Timeline:
2001 (Public Intoxication):
Patel was an undergraduate at the University of Richmond. He was escorted out of a basketball game by campus police and arrested for being drunk in public while underage.
2002/2005 (Public Urination): While a law student at Pace University, he was arrested for public urination while walking home with friends after drinking at local bars. (Patel’s 2005 letter describes this as a "gross deviation from appropriate conduct."
