Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Thursday that his nation and the Netherlands would enter a new phase of defense cooperation. He told journalists in Amsterdam that the "special agreement on security partnership" would involve a drone agreement. "This concerns not only drones as such, but also the comprehensive development, all capabilities, sky defense, missile defense, drones, the development of radio-electronic warfare, our joint weapons production," Zelenskyy said. "We have just signed documents on the start of this work on both drone deals and the first joint production in the Netherlands," he added.
Zelenskyy was speaking in the Dutch capital alongside Prime Minister Rob Jetten. Earlier, Zelenskyy had been awarded the prestigious International Four Freedoms Award at a ceremony for his and his nation's courage and resilience in resisting the full-scale invasion launched more than four years ago by Russia. - 04/17/2026.

And I feel the same way. I felt sick when the felon-in-chief took office and he abandoned Zelenskyy and Ukraine after we had been their greatest supporter since the beginning. But Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian people have stood the test of time, finding many other supportive allies and they have sure persevered. I'm embarrassed for my country right now, but I am inspired and proud of Ukraine.
