Well, howdy there Internet people. It's Belle again. So, today we're going to talk about Denmark saving a US sailor and Trump losing it.

Trump made a social media post that puzzled the world and we finally have a chain of events that might help explain the comments that were mocked globally. He posted, "Working with the fantastic governor of Louisiana, Jeff Landry, we are going to send a great hospital boat to Greenland to take care of the many people who are sick and not being taken care of there. It's on the way. President DJT.”

Greenland is currently facing no epidemic, no hospital failures, and no mass incidents. That led to the world wondering why Trump would claim to be sending a hospital boat to Greenland, especially when both the Comfort and the Mercy, which are the names of our hospital ships, are undergoing maintenance and are definitely not on the way. All of this information left people wondering if Trump's moments were growing more severe.

While most of the world mocked Trump and the US over the incident, Greenland's prime minister tried to keep it mostly civil. "It will be a no thanks from here. President Trump's idea of sending an American hospital ship here to Greenland has been noted, but we have a public health care system where treatment is free for citizens. It is a deliberate choice and a fundamental part of our society. It is not like that in the United States where it costs money to go to the doctor. We are always open to dialogue and cooperation, also with the US. But talk to us instead of just making more or less random outbursts on social media.”

Denmark's prime minister randomly said, "I am happy to live in a country where there is free and equal access to health for all, where it is not insurances and wealth that determine whether you get proper treatment. You have the same approach in Greenland. Happy Sunday to you all.”

Jokes and political posturing aside, there may be a very simple explanation for Trump's embarrassing social media post, his own embarrassment.

The Danish Joint Arctic Command rescued a crew member of a US submarine who is undergoing a medical emergency. Keep in mind, Trump has been saying the Danish military component in Greenland was inadequate and needed American help. The US crew member was reportedly rescued by a Danish Seahawk helicopter. The crew member was then transferred to a hospital in Greenland and treated by the evil socialized healthcare that is demonized in the United States.

My guess is that he acted rashly after finding out US Arctic capability wasn't quite as great as he assumed and that he had to rely on the very forces he mocked. And that was just too much during a week in which he also found out his tariffs were unconstitutional, inflation is going up, the GDP is going down, and manufacturing isn't coming back to the US due to his tariffs.

Maybe Trump should talk to his VP? I mean, have you said thank you even once? It looks like they saved the life of an American service member.
