We've experienced it as well here in Northeastern New York. The air frequently has a yellowish haze.

I am 57yo. I have lived in the mid atlantic region of the US my whole life.This is only the 2nd time I have seen this wildfire smoke from Canada. Last time was 2y ago.
I have spoken to my older siblings. My parents NEVER talked about this when they were alive. This is NEW.
This is NOT normal.

And I completely agree with you, I've lived in this area for my entire life and we've never experienced this before.

maybe the potential for flash floods tomorrow will help.
