Pulled Colbert-Talarico interview: CBS responds to backlash - CNN

Stephen Colbert taped a “Late Show” interview with James Talarico, a candidate in the Democratic Senate primary in Texas. But he says CBS lawyers intervened before the interview could air on TV. “We were told in no uncertain terms by our network’s lawyers, who called us directly, that we could not have him on the broadcast,” Colbert told his viewers Monday night.

that Jasmine Crockett is the candidate favored by the DNC; she frequently addresses civil rights issues, but I've never heard her discuss economic issues.

Talarico's concerns seem much closer to those of Bernie Sanders-type Dems – much more focus on economic issues – and my guess would be that he has a MUCH better chance of beating Cornyn (R).

Here's a link to Colbert's interview of Talarico:

The DNC hasn't gotten their collective arse together in decades to make any effort at all for a Dem candidate for Senator or Governor in Texas or President.

The DNC and DSCC both throw the towel in on Texas, and will again this time around, on this Senate race, no matter who wins the primary.

Sucks to be an enthusiastic Dem and have a wet blanket dropped down and over from the top every time.

If I understand correctly, the rule apparently requires fairness on talk shows but not on news shows!?
