Excellent point, TFG has his "excuse" all prepared despite the congressional vote Rhiannon12866 11 hrs ago #2
But of course the POTUS can order the release of any files as long as Justice matters. 9 hrs ago #3
Of course. Trump can release the files right now. There is no reason to wait for a vote in Congress. SunSeeker 17 min ago #4

But of course Trump has no intention of actually releasing incriminating stuff about himself.

As that Massie clip Lawrence showed explained, Trump will use Bondi to say the investigations she just started prevents release of the docs. There's long standing DOJ rules that docs that are part of an ongoing investigation cannot be released, regardless of whatever Congress passes.

Justice matters.

they're not classified, and he can declassify any files any time he wants.

The POTUS is the boss of the Executive Branch. The DOJ is part of that branch. There is no law that prevents the POTUS to release and make public any files he wants.

Lil kingpin pedo the felon doesn't want the Epstein files, previously closed by the DOJ saying there was no predicate to indict anyone else than Maxwell (which was a lie) in July.

But now, they've been ordered by the POS to investigate Clinton & Co...

There was an ongoing investigation when he took office in January and promised to immediately release the files. The
"ongoing investigation" excuse didn't seem to be a problem back then. Instead, he shut down that investigation and refused to release the files.
