Going out to eat is not an option anymore. We’ve started going to our local Senior Center for lunch. Just $3.00 each. Good food and a balanced meal for the cost of a cup of Coffee elsewhere. Wife get coffee, I get hot tea. Even a glass of chocolate Mike included.
Lucky my wife is great at cooking beans and rice. I eat about 4 eggs a day and that’s only about a buck.
Anyone else finding ways to save?

We never were big on going out to eat anyway, but we did it occasionally just because we were busy. We often had store-bought frozen prepared dinners in the freezer, so we could come home from work, throw something in the microwave and feed the fam.
Now, I cook meals (my wife prefers baking desserts, I cook). I've become pretty good at it. Those store-bought frozen dinners we used to buy? I can put together a better-tasting dinner for at least half the price. Chicken is my favorite go-to meal. A 10lb bag of chicken quarters for around 8 bucks goes a long way.
