California voters show up to vote on 'Prop 50' in spite of Trump's threats over election monitors - Deadline - MSNBC

Jacob Soboroff, MSNBC Senior National Political Correspondent, joins Nicolle Wallace on Deadline: White House to preview the first major referendum election of Donald Trump’s second term in office, which will be defined by California Prop 50, a ballot question to re-draw congressional districts to benefit Democrats in an effort to counter the Trump Administration's strong arming of Republican controlled states to gerrymander their maps for Republicans. - Aired on 11/04/2025.

Here in Northeastern New York I voted today and for the first time ever there were long lines! Didn't take me very long to fill in my ballot, though, since I vote a straight Democratic ticket, and there were only 2 on the ballot, three counting the non-partisan library trustee.

The LGBT Center polling place had a long line but the one with the drop off by the local library had people walking up and dropping them off. I haven't seen this at the polls in years and I always vote on Election Day since I really, really like voting. It makes me feel patriotic.
