It is not in the interests of many corporations (and individuals) to challenge legal precedence to force those changes. At best, people unhappy about this sort of application of technology should push for mandatory disclosure.
I did not use an LLM to compose this response. I work for a nonprofit and use AI regularly to brainstorm, edit, illustrate and format content to create flyers on Canva for our organization's activities. I disclose that use on our material, as should everyone, in my opinion, who uses AI, at least for now. (It saves me literally tens of hours of work each week thus extending our resources as a nonprofit to promote our goals.
I empathize and sympathize with people who are upset, but I suspect culture is going to adapt to the new environment sooner rather than later.
