diabetes caused by parasite?

i've been getting these "cure diabetes by killing parasites " shorts on u tube. i'm curious, pf course, and when dr oz pops up shilling this i wanted to know more.

1. they never name the parasite.
2. after listening to these "experts" talk for minutes promising to tell the secret cinnamon recipe, but never really saying anything, i "did my own research.

here is an article in AAP, an Australian news site that explains the situation

https://www.aap.com.au/factcheck/diabetes-parasite-theory-goes-down-the-misinformation-wormhole/

But Merlin Thomas3, a diabetes expert at Monash University, said type 2 diabetes is not caused by a parasite.

"The notion that type 2 diabetes is caused by a 'corrosive parasite that blocks the pancreas and prevents insulin production' does not pass the fact check on any level," Professor Thomas said.

i use cinnamon, and it does help a little with the glucose level, i think as a substitute for other sweeteners, but this "parasite" might be more dr oz bullshit.

. . . That "you don't want to use" if "you don't want to donate your entire wardrobe" in less than three weeks' time.

If only rolling one's eyes counted as a calorie burning exercise, all those "weird little tricks" to lose weight would actually work.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is the result of skeletal, liver and fat cells resisting the attachment of insulin, not reduced insulin secretion. That is Type 1 autoimmune diabetes mellitus. In the early stages of T2DM insulin levels are higher than normal.

It gets worse, 'corrosive parasite that blocks the pancreas. The endocrine functions of the pancreas are in clumps of 5 hormone secreting cell types that secrete 6 glucose regulatory hormones directly into the blood supplly. The islets of Laangerhans make up about 2% of pancreatic mass. The rest is producing and routing digestive enzymes to the duodenum. A blockage of these ducts results in painful acute pancreatitis.

Acute edematous pancreatitis is a medical emergency characterized by a sudden pancreas inflammation. It can be caused by various factors, primarily gallstones, alcohol consumption, or medication. Acute edematous pancreatitis caused by Fasciola hepatica* infection is exceptionally rare and could be overlooked.

Fasciola hepatica is defined as a cattle fluke that can occasionally infect the human liver and biliary tract, with adult worms typically found in the gallbladder and biliary ducts as flat structures measuring 20–30 mm long.

Maybe they are throwing Cinnamon in there so it will work and they’ll believe their crap. I think you have to be careful which type of cinnamon and how much as it can be damaging to your liver if you eat too much.
