Nice to have David Hemmings featured on TCM, today.

I've always been an admirer of his acting---and I'm wondering why Turner Classic Movies isn't showing one of his biggest hits, "Blow-Up" (1966). I suspect it's because of that half-second of frontal female nudity that made the film so scandalous when it came out. (Hey, you think we horny high school guys saw it multiple times for Antonioni's directorial talents or the cinematography?) Excellent movie, with a valuable look at what London was like in the hyperactive 1960's.

Anyway, well-done by TCM, featuring Hemmings' work.

So there was no Blow-Up and there was no Barbarella, and TCM brought out the rarities, which, to be fair, weren't necessarily family-friendly.
