(35,039 posts)I love his shows, the music is wonderful, it and the dances are fresh and just so fun and done so perfectly.
Mmmm, if I were not watching the results I would yank this up in a heart beat. I simply cannot go long without the music and the dancing.
It is very worth the time to watch. IMO

(54,384 posts)The costumes and wigs for Sweet Charity are killer. I was watching a documentary about him about 2 weeks ago. The scene where they sing "Hey Big Spender" was challenging for him since the stage version had to be recreated for the film version. I think it was fantastic!

You must have seen All That Jazz. I even love watching that, sad as it is. That group of people has captured me for so long.
I always mourn that he has passed when I see anything of his.
I remember reading something about that scene. How anyone could do that leaves me just breathless.
If you remember the name of the doc I would be on that as soon as I get my horses out and stalls clean.
I have to go but I just realized I did not mention his direction. I don't think I could ever begin to discuss that but would love to hear what you have to say about it. Seriously, I just love this.

I LOVE "All That Jazz" so much I bought it. I learned from the documentary that his real-life daughter was in the film. She is a dancer who is stretching at a soda machine and the producers tell her to move away.

I liked it and the acting was great.
This one may be hard to find? I don't think I can get it but I will look around, not sure I got to the end but I remember liking it.
Fosse/Verdon explores the real-life relationship between filmmaker/choreographer Bob Fosse and dancer Gwen Verdon. It's based on Sam Wasson's 2013 biography, Fosse, and is being adapted for television by Steven Levenson, Thomas Kail, and Lin-Manuel Miranda (among others).Mar 1, 2019
Fosse...Sam Rockwell
Verdon...Michelle Williams
There is an episode posted for each show so you know if it will be interesting to you.
I liked it but then this kind of stuff is always good for me.
Thanks for all the interesting information I had no idea about.
