there was another natural upheaval that preceded that great plague event eight hundred years later in the form of massive rains and floods, all throughout the old world; this is the plague event often referred to as the black death, and the most familiar of history. Agriculture was laid waste through multiple seasons and naturally great suffering and death, but the worse was yet to come.

-Those mothers who were pregnant and survived the famine gave birth to babies with compromised immune systems and they hardly stood a chance once the disease swept through.
