not after seeing the happy, smiling face of the pilot and then the scenes of terror, destruction and death. I won't say yea or nay about the war. But it is telling that we're the only country that's dropped these kinds of bombs not once, but twice on a country. I worry the lessons of WWII have been lost as the generation who fought it have died, and no one seems to remember or understand the history.

I just want to state that this is an incredibly important documentary and one of the best documentaries, of any kind, I have ever seen. It's hard to watch in parts. But it really ought to be required viewing for every adult American -- not to instill shame, but to ensure empathy. Great post, Yui.
