        And don't take them for walks on hot sidewalks, bricks, & asphalt - it's too hot for their paws.

        And some dogs just can't take long walks/runs in the heat. Consider their age, fitness level, breed.

        and took him on a walk - just to the end of the block and back... on grass all the way.  He didn't fight me too much when it came time to walk into the house!
And whoever mentioned broth ice cube treats... great idea!  We'll be implementing that in the household. Thanks!!
