(26,349 posts)1. We lost our power a few weeks ago and like you was lucky I had a gas stove
        I was able to cook dinner with a lantern as my light. We were out of power for 15 hours! And had a nice cozy fire all day!

        Three days of wind and +50F until 1:30 this afternoon. After that it was +32F and blizzarding outside. Now it's just cold but above 0.
