BOISE, Idaho — Residents of central Idaho are experiencing a snowy start to the day as a cool low-pressure system moves over the northwest.

Snowfall has been reported across the region, with picturesque scenes captured by regional webcams at Redfish Lake, Willow Creek/Gilmore Summits, and Pomerelle Mountain Resort.

The snowfall, while not unusual for Idaho, is a reminder of the state's unique climate and a reminder that we can get snow any month of the year.
