"US Sanctions UN Human Rights Expert Over Criticism of Israel"

NOTE: THIS IS THE JEWISH GROUP

"The US imposed sanctions on a United Nations expert investigating human rights conditions in the Palestinian territories, escalating a feud after earlier calling for her ouster over allegations of anti-Israel bias.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the sanctions against Francesca Albanese, UN Human Rights Council Special Rapporteur, were in response to her “campaign of political and economic warfare against the United States and Israel.”

“The United States will continue to take whatever actions we deem necessary to respond to lawfare and protect our sovereignty and that of our allies,” Rubio wrote in a social media post."

..........

"Albanese, who was appointed to her role in 2022, is a staunch critic of Israel’s war in Gaza. Her statements have sparked controversy, including a social media post last year that said victims of the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack were killed because of “Israel’s oppression.”

The Bloomberg link has a firewall, but a simple Google search will find other reports.

Isn't that special. A UN representative blaming the VICTIMS of the October 7 massacre, and the lack of her condemnation against Hamas speaks volumes.

Ms. Albanese has a very troubling history of prejudice, not just against Israel, but Jews in general, as her comments on various outlets, and social media platforms reveal.

"The American Jewish Committee (AJC) exposed some of the troubling bias, associations, and prejudices of Ms. Albanese in the following letter:

The ADL has documented her troubling statements in her own words:

Below are select antisemitic and/or inflammatory categories containing troubling statements from Ms. Albanese included in the link below:

1. Holocaust Distortion, Trivialization and Comparisons to Nazis
2. Conspiracies about Jewish power
3. Demonization and Delegitimization of Israel
4. Denying or Diminishing the Oct. 7th Massacre
5. Justification of Violence
6. Albanese’s Antisemitism Prior to Her UN appointment

... Something like Rubio seems like a good friend to Israel and Jews, someone would probably report me. So I won't say that.

But I will say that the UN as it stands is proving to be our enemy.

This is a case of two things being true at once: the UN helped "create" Israel and it has been less than a friend, if not an outright enemy to Israel and the Jewish diaspora.

would only continue to grow and get stronger and it wasn’t a hill worth dying on. Plus they had collective guilt from waiting so long to do anything in the years leading up to WWII.

One of the times I went to Israel we toured Ayalon. The fake kibbutz that hid an ammunition factory underneath it. How they did all that and hid it was amazing.
