Flew from Liberia, Costa Rica to Houston to San Francisco and then to Beijing. Beautiful hotel. Very quiet city. Immigration took forever.

I now know why Beijing's streets were so quiet yesterday. They were blocked for the grand military parade.

Hope you go to the Great Wall. Though Id never experienced quiet in Beijing or Shanghai. Lots of traffic noise. Enjoy!

Much different.today. Made it to the Great Wall but I couldn't go very far along it due to my COPD.
