Related: About this forumI'm intrigued by Denver's moves here.
One would think that they would go all out and trade up to get Zach Wilson or maybe even Trey Lance. They're in Pat Mahomes' division, and they need a QB that can keep pace with him.
Teddy Bridgewater just doesn't cut it in my mind.

(10,110 posts)by Denver's seeming inability to get off the quarterback carousel they've been on. A dozen starters in 10 years ain't the way to do that IMO.
I don't know about Bridgewater either, but maybe trading Elway away from those decisions would be a start.

(10,110 posts)A little more time under his belt and he should be a force.
The last several years I've been rooting for any team in the AFC West, sometimes even against Denver. Elway has got to go.

(5,263 posts)If Chase and Pitts are gone by the time Miami's pick comes up at 6, they will be looking to trade down, and I know they have been talking with Denver.

(813 posts)Overall, Bridgewater costs Denver $3M + the 6th, a pretty good deal for either a competent starter or really good backup. Plus, if he starts he has better tools around him than at Carolina (remember: McCaffrey missed 12 games in Teddy's only year there).
At that cost, Denver can still be in the QB draft market and move on from Lock, or if they can't get one of the top QBs in the draft, light a fire under Lock.
