I hope he is drafted right before Mr. Irrelevant.

(10,710 posts)He was projected as a late round pick. He actually joked yesterday that if they are making Shadeur wait, What they gonna do with me?

(101 posts)He definitely grew up in a unique situation and maybe he hasn't handled things as well as some people expect him to or as well as they think they would have. Since I am not in his shoes, and have never been in a similar situation, I have no idea how I might handle all that.
My 2 1/2 cents:
Cent 1: Although I have only seen him a few times around Boulder, he always seemed to be kind and generous person with his time. He would engage people coming up to him, taking time to really listen to them and talk to them, not brushing anyone off. I am sure as a college student others probably saw him acting very differently at times as well. Goes with the college student territory, I know I was no saint in college.
Cent 2: His skills on the field are pretty incredible. His accuracy, low interception rates etc.. all while playing behind a weak offensive line have been incredible. Also he never criticized that line even though every press conference the reporters were trying to get him to do just that. Personally I hope he gets on to a team where he is respected, he respects the others and does super well, proving the haters wrong.
1/2 Cent: ... hopefully he meets with your approval in the future.
I can't imagine being Neon Dion's son. Much less playing for daddy's team. Loving the spotlight is probably in his genes. Good luck. You'll need some despite/because of your talent.

(6,552 posts)we can list a long line of people in the nfl that did this,
vince young
dwayne haskins
ryan leaf
ki-jana carter
rae carreuth
willis mcgahee
jamarcus russell
johnny football
deshaun watson
jeff george
just the name a few.
since the Bills won't draft him and I'm a Bills fan, someone else can have the cancer the nfl coaches seem to think he will be.

(72,414 posts)You did forget Demarcus Russell & Akili Smith. Two of the biggest QB busts ever, (I think in the same draft), and it was attitude & unwillingness to learn.

(6,552 posts)Akili Smith's BS set the Bengals back five seasons.

(72,414 posts)I had the first name wrong. Russell was drafted by the Raiders, right?
I knew Smith was Cincinnati.

President Donald Trump harshly criticized NFL franchises for not drafting Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders in the first round of Thursdays draft, calling all 32 team owners stupid.
Sanders, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, was not taken among the first 32 picks. While many mock drafts had Shedeur Sanders going in the first round often to the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 21 there was not a wide consensus he would be a first-round pick.
What is wrong with NFL owners, are they STUPID? Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. Deion Sanders was a great college football player, and was even greater in the NFL. Hes also a very good coach, streetwise and smart! Therefore, Shedeur, his quarterback son, has PHENOMENAL GENES, and is all set for Greatness. He should be picked IMMEDIATELY by a team that wants to WIN. Good luck Shedeur, and say hello to your wonderful father!

At least he won't be a 1st or 2nd round bust.
