Ridiculous.

White Sox 22, Royals 1.

23 hits for the south siders, just four for KC. Five home runs, including a grand slam by Tristan Peters. Rookie Braden Montgomery was the only Chicago player who didn't get at least one hit. Six players with RBIs, including five from rookie Jacob Gonzalez and six from Peters. Most runs the team scored since 1970. It was the 2nd most lopsided game in franchise history (they beat the Kansas City A's 29-6 in 1955).

When you achieve something you haven't done in over 70 years, that's something.

Also, rookie pitcher David Sandlin returned to the team from the minors, after his earlier stint at the major league level was disappointing. This time he went six solid innings, giving up one run.

Yeah, the Cubs lost. But we have two teams in Chicago.
