I have to admit, I didn't see this coming.

The Chicago Cubs are visiting the Chicago White Sox in the biannual "cross-town classic." They met for three games in May at Wrigley Field; the Cubs swept, outscoring the Sox 26-8 overall.

These Sox are different. Still, I am surprised: in Game one, the Sox are up 11-0 in the 6th inning. Against the Cubs ace, Shota Imanaga. The Cubs, not far removed from having the best record in baseball, are looking increasingly hapless. And the White Sox last year set a new record for ineptitude, but might match last year's win total by the end of the month.

Baseball's a strange game.

Have won 6 of their last 10.

This team is not the one that royally sucked in ‘24.

And when it comes to baseball
We have two favorite clubs
They are the Go-Go White Sox
And whoever plays the Cubs
