I'vd skied for over 50 years, tried snowboarding with my kid who is an expert, couldn't get the hang of it. Have been watching freestyle skiing since the 1970s, when it was a fringe sport, remember ski ballet?

The future of this sport will probably showcase snowboarding/half pipe - there is a lot of future and creativity to be developed in this discipline.

Why don't the snowboarders were more aerodynamic clothes? Seems like the baggy suits wouldn't be the best thing to wear. And the hoods , why? Just curious....

My earliest remembrances of snowboarders....snow boots with heavy sweater/baggy windbreaker and a Burton Board. Always was...the style stayed as the sport evolved.
