can time be taken or does time only take each moment of life
as however time is measured out it inexorably moves forward
never hesitating nor drawing a line in the sand with the knife
time expresses no qualm nor doubt magically draws all toward
willfully watching the silent clock glancing about so frequently
with hands thrust uselessly in pockets a mind spinning in idle
a wonder to contemplate a lock holding the past conveniently
flowers pressed old photo lockets reins the bit and the bridle
time is restless today racing past there can be no looking back
to look ahead at what is coming in a faceless unknown future
death and destruction arrive fast a runaway train on the track
now the iron wheels are drumming a fall of empire and culture
as time is restless and time is quiet the difference is but a spark
here is the motion to incite the riot here is the moment of dark
