so what is it like to be alive while living in life
either aware or unaware of the world around
giving in or try and strive as desperation is rife
balance fair or unfair that bound or unbound
or is it to ride on a tide quiet to show nothing
time eats away the soul the souls eats the heart
lose the essence to abide live as shadows cling
a single ember of coal threatens the fire’s start
is it best to dive in love and swim in an ecstasy
tasting the bitter of salt the sweet in the honey
to couple below or above each act the fantasy
and seek truth yet no fault bended on one knee
is to live life so mundane as to welcome death
so that hope cannot sustain after a final breath
