I started Prophet Song by Paul Lynch the 2023 Booker Prize winner & I am a bit freaked out

It is a bit too life like at the opening scenes

Synopsis from google
Prophet Song is a 2023 dystopian novel by Paul Lynch that won the Booker Prize. It follows Eilish Stack, a mother in a near-future Ireland that is descending into authoritarianism, as she tries to protect her family after her husband, a trade unionist, is arrested by the secret police. The novel is known for its stream-of-consciousness narrative style and its exploration of themes like political oppression, resistance, and survival.

That sounds a little too close to home. Maybe it has a great ending though, that shows how we can get out of our dystopia.
