MILFORD, Conn. - Connecticut State Police are reporting the theft of an assault rifle and bullet-proof vest from the trunk of a trooper's parked cruiser sometime early Tuesday.
State police have issued a regional alert to area police departments to be on the look out for anyone with an assault rifle.
