A Long Beach woman and her son are facing federal charges alleging they illegally shipped hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of firearms parts and ammunition to the Philippines.
Marlou Mendoza, 60, was arrested Jan. 20 at Los Angeles International Airport as she returned from a trip to the Philippines, officials from the U.S. Attorneys Office said Tuesday. Her son, Mark Louie Mendoza, 30, is a citizen of the Philippines, where authorities believe he remains at large.
The mother and son are named in separate indictments that were returned by a federal grand jury Dec. 10.
Prosecutors say that Marlou Mendoza failed to provide required written notice that she was shipping ammunition  tens of thousands of rounds of .22-caliber ammunition  on three dates in 2011.

        That's only about 20+ bricks.
I'm not that pissed that she tried to smuggle it out of the country, I want to know where she found that many bricks of .22 dammit!
