Related: About this forumFrankfort man charged with bringing loaded gun to wedding
A Frankfort man is facing a felony weapons charge for bringing a loaded handgun to an Oct. 17 wedding reception at Palos Country Club, where he also got into a brawl with wedding guests, Orland Park police reported.
When officers arrived at the country club, 131st Street and Southwest Highway, they found James Epich covered in mud and bleeding from the mouth in the parking lot, according to police.
Epich told police he had not planned to attend the wedding but changed his mind and arrived in a Uber taxi to surprise his wife, a member of the bridal party. But once he got there, "everyone hated him," he told police.
Epich is charged with unlawful use of a weapon, disorderly conduct and reckless conduct, police said, adding that he had a firearm owner's ID card for the handgun but not a concealed-carry license.

(6,185 posts)1. Wait? He brought a gun, got beat up and still didn't shoot anybody?
Nobody got shot or even threatened with the gun from what I can tell. I thought all gun owners were wild and crazy waiting for a chance to gun somebody down? This guy got beat up and didn't shoot anyone?
He was appropriately arrested and probably charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
Yeah, that makes him a prime candidate for being a poster boy for DU gun control.
Keep up the good work finding more stories with no relevance to the SoP.
