(1,656 posts)It should give voters an important clue as to the makeup of any elected official. Obviously owning a pet offers opportunities to develop compassion, but it displays responsibility. It obvious to me that Krasnov lacks both.

(41,236 posts)But my mother was afraid of dogs. Since Ive been married we always had a dog. I see in my kids how they always loved our pets so purely.

(27,608 posts)I was starting high school and she told my Mom a dog would keep me busy and out of trouble. When she came the next day to take me to pick up my dog. my mom tried to back out! We brought the dog home and my Dad fell in love with it and it became his dog also! When I went away to college that dog was there for my Dad. the dog lived for almost 16 years and my Dad cried just as much as me when he passed. I was married briefly in my mid 20s and the dog hated my ex husband !
