This morning, Martini decided that after about four hours, I had had enough sleep, so she kept trying to get me to get up. By that, I mean she kept walking all the way across me starting at my feet, getting in my face and meowing. "Get up! Get up! Get up!" No matter how many times I told her "No!" "Go away!" "Let Mama sleep!" and gently picking her up and putting her on the floor, she kept coming right back. She is nothing if not persistent. Finally, she brought in the big guns - Holly. Holly walked all the way across the bed from my feet to my head; turned around and did it again and I said "Okay, you win!" and I got up. I just couldn't fight the both of them.
Then I felt bad about telling Martini to go away. Their water bowl was empty and how else was she going to tell me she was thirsty?
I'm sorry my sweet baby cats. I'll try to do better. Please forgive your crabby old mama.

But even good mommas can be crabby when awakened out of a sound sleep!

(4,433 posts)I have one that when his favorite water dish is almost empty, will start banging it to get me to fill it, even though the one right next to it is still full, lol.
They have me well trained, the obnoxious little critters. 😸😸😸

(386 posts)knows he gets treats if he finishes his dinner. Most evenings he comes and annoys me by walking on the computer keyboard, or sitting in front of the screen, or banking off of me as he runs around. Always turns out that he is telling me he has finished his dinner and wants treats. I love my 15 lb. hunk.
