Guess what just happened
I was out taking a stroll and found 3 kittens. Two had already crossed the Rainbow Bridge and one is still alive. I know YOU know what happened. I gave the two siblings a safe burial and brought the remaining angel inside. I am 99% sure it's a girl and seems to be healthy. I'm guessing she's maybe 3 weeks old. Fortunately I always have replacement milk on hand and will let her try a taste of pate, just to see how it goes. Meanwhile I'll check on/feed her about every 4 hours. Right now she's snoozing over my heart and Merlin is perched behind us. He seems very cool with this baby but I already know the others won't be so accepting.
For now I'm just going to concentrate on the present. Hopefully I can find her a good home. If not, well, guess I'll be adding to the family.
As for the two who didn't make it - we've had a very cold and heavy rain day. I did my utmost to see if there was any chance there was still a chance to revive them. I knew for sure that the smallest one was already gone and after much effort I accepted the other was, too.

Hope she is healthy enough to grow up and be a beautiful cat. We're here cheering for both of you!
Such sadness...you KNOW you're going to be keeping her lol
She looks so concerned right now. It must be very hard to see your siblings not make it.
