Related: About this forumCelebrating The Quirky And Playful Side Of Cats
For more than ten years, Tokyo-based photographer Masayuki Oki has been documenting the everyday lives of stray cats across Japan. His photos capture them just as they are curious, sleepy, grumpy, affectionate, and everything in between. Oki has a special talent for noticing the small moments that reveal each cats unique personality, turning ordinary encounters on the street into touching, funny, and sometimes surprisingly emotional portraits.

(28,158 posts)I spent 2 years in Japan in the late 1970s with the Air Force nurse corps, and even brought a cat back to the States with me. Had him for 20 years. I especially enjoyed seeing some of the architecture and signage again, and the picture with the cherry blossoms. Cherry blossom season in Japan is one of the most beautiful sights on the planet.
More of this, please!
