I adopted them together, although they weren't littermates. They're just like siblings, jealous of each other. Each one is so afraid the other one is going to get something she isn't. So when I take Martini into the bathroom to give her her pill, Holly sits right outside the door, wondering what the heck is she getting in there that I'm not? When we come out, I tell her "just be glad you're not getting what Martini's getting!" Then I give them both treats.
They may be silly, but I truly love those cats! ❤️

(917 posts)I swear they time how long I pet the others and feel slighted if I spent less time on them. I feel judged. Probably that is accurate.

(1,353 posts)She hasn't had another episode of sneezing blood, thank goodness. At her last appointment, the vet said her blood pressure was normal. She's still very thin, which is always a concern. But she acts normally, so I try not to worry too much. She's still the friendly, playful, affectionate, beautiful cat I fell in love with almost 14 years ago.
Thank you for asking, Bayard!

(6,614 posts)I've got three littermates, and they're now as different as night is to day... and each of them a handful. And they each get very jealous if one of the others is getting what feel is a little "too much" attention! Life with cats is a blast!

(1,525 posts)must have sensed it because he jumped in bed and started nuzzling my check. I snapped out of it instantly. They are so sensitive and loving. I would be lost without him and his side kick.

I'm so glad your little buddy was there for you, flashman13. I had a few night terrors decades ago and they really live up to their name. Hope that's the last one you ever have.
