My girl has to have oral surgery. Ugh.

She's been having trouble with her jaw. She keeps her mouth partly open once in a while and I took her into the vet because I suspected she might have had a tooth infection. Turns out her front fang is loose. So she's going in on Monday to have it removed. They'll check to the rest of her teeth. She's going under and I'm a bit of a worry wart. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes okay. The vet says it's fairly common in Abyssinians.

I hope everything goes very well, and your precious kitty girl comes through it without a hitch.

7. She will be so much happier when it's over. Pretty sure a loose fang is not pleasant.

The only drawback is she was really pissed at me. She kept growling and hissing at me all evening. She's finally over it and slept with me last night and today she seems back to normal. Her appetite is fierce! She's eating like crazy, so I'd say the procedure was a success. The vet ended up pulling 7 teeth. She said it's really common in Abyssinians and brushing her teeth would have had almost no impact. I I don't reel guilty about not brushing her teeth.
