Related: About this forumDunc the golden chunk. Has discovered a strong willed intelligent female.
Her name is Lillian she is an Australian shepherd and she is in Duncs play group. Now in Duncs Woof pack you have three other golden retrievers a Berneses two labs and a Dachshund.
Well introduce Lillian into the mix and now the motley crew has discovered.
There will now be rules more rules as in being herded endlessly. And extreme discipline structure order is necessary.
I imagine Lillian explaining to this group no the world is not flat.
Why with the discipline they must be brought up to Lillys standards the chaos ends now.
Clearly this group needed a leader and they are fortunate that Lilly has shown up to square them away.
One example is you just do not walk around with a tennis ball in your mouth.
And then drop it in the wading pool and then dunk for it barking splashing at it with your paw that is a sin in Lillys mind.
All balls are put on this earth for the hoomans to throw and for Lillian to retrieve.
Dude was tired last night after dinner he usually likes to Ruff house with his brother twenty or me.
After Dunc ate he grabbed Elmo and squeak lamb and crashed out on the couch.

(5,912 posts)I cant think of two more different dogs than a golden (total chaos) and an Australian sheep dog (total order). Dunc is just giving Lillian something to do. An unattainable goal, so to speak.

(25,304 posts)They also love to police, and herd other animals. Our Aussie, Finley, takes very seriously the controlling of the family, and we're working on that. He doesn't like our cat playing or me dancing and tries to stop both - it's not regular! We gotten him so he'll not harass the cat (very often) when Foggy has the zoomies or harass me when I dance (as long as it's not too vigorous). He still thinks he's in charge, especially of the cat, and will boop him if he stands up and put his paws on our knees. Finley besides being controlling is jealous! He's also super sweet, fun loving and affectionate. He's a major joy in our lives and loves to walk with us every day and go on trips!
