(36,099 posts)Last night, Shaw, washed Dixies ears & face for a
few minutes, then would hiss & growl into Dixies face, then stomp off.
By the 3rd time I caught on that Shaw was scolding her sister.

(94,069 posts)but Shaw did it with love because she was scared for her sister. Cats are amazing creatures.

(29,903 posts)Dixie looks just like my last hand raised kitty, Sweetie. He disappeared. I miss him every day. ❤️

(1,380 posts)I got her from a co-worker who said she was "a bitch." The first time I reached out to pet her, she flinched like I was going to hit her and it broke my heart. But when she saw that I wasn't going to hurt her, she never wanted me out of her sight. Wherever I went in the house, she went: next to me on the couch; in the bed with me while I slept; on the edge of the bathtub when I took a bath, etc.
Your photo of your cat on the edge of the tub reminded me of her.
