Wheat crackers with Swiss, sliced turkey, mayo, and dill pickle mustard.
Linguini with clam sauce. Topping is chopped parsley from the garden.
Small tossed green salad of romaine, cucumber, and red and gold peppers. Red onion. Olive oil vinaigrette.
Dessert: strawberry shortcake with vanilla ice cream.

(81,334 posts)Nowhere here to get a strawberry shortcake. Went to Cheesecake Factory & found their meny "boasted" of the cake being a biscuit. Fml.
I think I'll order a roast chicken & sweet potatoes from Kroger.

(14,902 posts)You can also add a few dabs of anchovy pate when sauteing the shallot or onions and garlic stage...add deeper flavor....I also add white wine, store bought clam juice and use juice from the canned clams...

(1,957 posts)So glad to be back from vacation and back in my own kitchen. Trying to eat healthy when away from home, especially when you avoid red meat, poultry, dairy, extra added oil and eggs, is a tiring chore.
Steam-fried in evoo and veggie broth: chopped onion, orange bell pepper, cut broccoli, sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. When almost done I seasoned with dried oregano, basil and fresh chopped parsley and added canned cannellini beans and whole wheat penne. Vegan parm on top after plating. Cheers!🥂
