'Meet the Chef
My name is Claudia Olea, and I am a Chilean-born pastry chef with many years of professional experience. My journey into baking began at the age of 9, when I started making pound cakes and cookies to sell in my neighborhood. My greatest inspiration came from my uncle, a professional pastry chef, who became my mentor. I spent countless hours watching him work, and his passion for the craft fueled my own.
Though my passion for baking took a detour after high school when I pursued a degree in accounting and worked as a public accountant, my love for pastries never wavered. In 2004, I opened a home-based bakery with my brother, and our business quickly grew, supplying bread and pastries to local restaurants. It was during this time that I honed my skills in making traditional Chilean breads and pastries.
In 2006, I made the bold decision to leave my home bakery and follow my dream of moving to the United States.'
