What's for Dinner, Wed., Sept. 17, 2025

Miso-glazed salmon over soba noodles.

I'm making this dish myself because it's easy, but I am going to Whole Foods to find some accompanying side dishes.

The plumbing repair continues and I keep finding myself having to do things to facilitate it or listen to complicated explanations of what's going on. This is a tough job for the plumber. I'd have walked off it a long time ago, or never accepted it in the first place (not really, but most people would have).

I'm going to mix cherry kombucha and ginger beer for a drink tonight.

For dessert, I hope to find some tapioca pudding at WF.

The contents of the refrigerator made no cohesive sense this morning so I started grabbing things….you’re going and you’re going and you’re going.

Made a tasty cream of mushroom soup, some lemon hummus, a buttermilk ranch salad dressing. The garden had a half zillion ripe cherry tomatoes, yellow and red, so I sautéed those with some shallots then added some cooked spinach/ricotta ravioli to the tomatoes. What a delicious combination that was, especially after I added freshly shredded Parmesan.

Also made a gingerbread and have no idea why.

What’s for dinner? I’ll pick from the list above, with lemon water.

I so enjoy this daily treat. Thank you, NJCher.

Steam-fried in evoo and veggie broth: chopped onion, green bell pepper, carrots, celery, cabbage, 2 chopped tomatoes and minced garlic. When the veggies were almost done I added a couple Tbsps of tomato paste, a can of drained and rinsed kidney beans, fresh corn I cut off the cob, sliced mushrooms and more broth. I seasoned the dish with chili powder, cumin, chipotle powder, oregano, fresh chopped parsley and cayenne pepper. At the last minute I stirred in a small amount of cooked brown rice. Cheers!🥂
