is having serious problems with her ex-husband, as he has kept the children from seeing their mother for 2+ weeks; she (and her attorney) have decided the only available next step is for her to obtain 100% custody, so i'm about to read a major document.
Terrible problems for the kids, I'm afraid. Granddaughter's 9th birthday is Oct 1.
Will follow up, but had to share; misery getting to my gut.
((FOLLOW UP)) Younger daughter, and son in law, stopped by yesterday (Sunday) with coffee, and we chatted. (Picture attached.) Apparently they have known about problems (discussed above, ) for some time.
I may have to figure out ways to help the kids, particularly grand daughter.

(21,607 posts)It's SO unfair to kids when one divorced parent does not cooperate with visitation agreements. Good legal advice is a must in these situations, and it sounds like your daughter is getting that, which is great. I will hold you, her, and the kids in my thoughts.

I'm afraid the kids are unhappy, and I'm not sure what's up with them. Very concerned.
