They are going to fix what radiation broke. I have fluid behind my eardrum, so they are inserting a drain tube. It's outpatient surgery.
As it is right now, I'm nearly deaf in my right ear. The fluid is preventing my eardrum from moving.
They say the only pain will be getting the numbing shot. Hope it doesn't hurt as much as the shot I got in the nose.

(60,243 posts)The sound I hear is like from a small old transistor radio. My hearing is still bad in that ear, but better, and the pressure is gone.
