UKRAINE ATTACKS RUSSIA
Ukraine has reportedly launched a major drone attack on Russia targeting Moscow and several industrial sites across the country. Damage to an oil refinery and military factories has been reported on social media, and local authorities in Moscow say the Russian capital was attacked overnight by dozens of Ukrainian drones just one day ahead of major celebrations of Russia’s May 9, victory day parade.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha thanked Poland, Germany, and Kyiv’s other European allies for taking a clear stance “against Russia’s attempts to intimidate the foreign diplomatic corps in Ukraine.”

MIDDLE EAST LATEST
Three U.S. destroyers came under Iranian fire in the Strait of Hormuz overnight, despite the ongoing ceasefire. In response, U.S. forces targeted Iranian facilities responsible for the attacks, stressing that Washington does “not seek escalation.”
