A new rare earth crisis is brewing as yttrium shortages spread - Reuters



The element yttrium, used in specialty alloys found in engines as well as coatings to shield against high temperatures, faces Chinese export restrictions along with six other rare earths, leading to fears of shortages and surging costs.

Canada and guess who is in the process of getting new mines approved not just for the mining of rare earth minerals but also the processing? Again it would be Canada but then the US doesn't need anything from Canada according to Trump.

literally digging more into US properties, to more thoroughly investigate rare earth minerals, if there were more than originally thought or found (previous mining efforts were after gold, silver, other such things).
