Friendly Fire Exposes Russia's Army Failures - Jason Jay Smart
Russia's war in Ukraine is entering a new phase, forcing the Russian military into a horrific situation. Ukrainian forces are gaining a strategic advantage, and recent drone strikes are exposing critical weaknesses deep inside Russia. These attacks have destroyed key Russian air assets, crippling logistics, and rapid deployment capabilities. The pressure on aviation is translating into pressure on command and logistics, which the Russians are not handling well.
The situation on the ground for the Russian military is deteriorating rapidly. Friendly fire incidents are a frequent occurrence, eroding morale and killing initiative at the company and battalion levels. The western press often misrepresents the reality of the conflict, ignoring that Russia is in fact losing. They fail to gain ground and are losing an incredible number of soldiers and machinery at a rate the Russian economy cannot sustain.
Russia is also getting closer to bankruptcy. The Russian economy is collapsing under the weight of the war, with major state-backed companies like Rosneft, TMK, Mechel, and MMK posting massive losses. These key industries are the backbone of federal revenue, and their financial struggles are triggering quality degradation and delivery delays. Despite Putin's efforts to find support, Russia lacks other options. The economic reality is far worse than what is reported, and every day, Russia is closer to financial ruin.
